About Ultim8Soft

Founded July 2009. Took a long pause. Coming back with a broader roster and the same privacy stance.

The short version

Ultim8Soft launched in July 2009, the year after the App Store opened, with a small roster of content-based iOS apps for the original iPhone OS. The apps were narrow on purpose: each one did a single thing in a single content category, and they fit the device of the time. The early roster did well for a stretch and picked up a quiet user base across a handful of countries.

Some years later we took the apps offline. The platform churn outran what felt right to maintain on the side, and rather than ship half-attention updates, we shipped nothing. The brand stayed dormant. We never sold it, never licensed it out, never folded it into another company. It sat on a shelf in working order while we worked on other things.

Now we're coming back. The new plan is broader than the 2009 roster: a website with developer tools that's already live at tools.ultim8soft.com, a privacy-first units converter in active development, and a return to mobile across both iOS and Android. The thread that ties them together is the one we cared about in 2009, which is that the user's data should stay on the user's device. That meant something specific on iPhone OS 3 and it means something specific in a browser tab today, but the principle hasn't changed.

How we work

Privacy-first throughout. No collection of user content across any product. The developer tools site processes your inputs inside your browser tab, so what you paste in never reaches our servers. The mobile apps, when they ship, will do their work on the device the same way. The units converter will run inside the browser, the same way as the developer tools. The corporate marketing site you're reading right now uses standard page-view analytics to count visits and see where traffic comes from, and that's it. Nothing on this site collects content you type because there's nothing on this site to type into. Per-product privacy policies cover the specifics for each product separately, so the rules for the tools site stay scoped to the tools site and don't get tangled up with the marketing site's analytics setup.

Where we're heading

More developer tools landing on tools.ultim8soft.com across the year. The units converter shipping when the conversion tables and the multilingual content are both ready, not before. The first round of mobile apps shipping when the iOS and Android builds are both in shape, not on a calendar quarter. We're not putting dates on any of this because we'd rather show the work than promise it and slip. If you want to hear when something lands, the contact page has a working email.
